Hazelnut butter is a rich and creamy Food spread made from crushed and blended Hazelnuts. It is is often overlooked for its wildly popular, and Chocolate flavoured cousin (we're not naming any names here) but when you remove the chocolate (and the sugar!), you get an unmistakable speckled-brown nut butter that's much healthier and full of Vitamin E and monounsaturated fats.

Is hazelnut paste the same as hazelnut butter?

No, not quite. Hazelnut paste differs to hazelnut butter in the way in which it is made. Hazelnut paste tends to consist of a sweeter mix of Nuts and Sugar or syrup, where as hazelnut butter is made from 100% raw or roasted hazelnuts.

Is hazelnut spread healthier than peanut butter?

Hazelnut butter is an excellent source of fibre, Antioxidants and Vitamins. However Peanut Butter provides more protein than hazelnut butter, and also contains fewer carbohydrates.
