Minami Nutrition MorDHA Mini  I.Q. Capsules are a highly concentrated (80%) omega 3 supplement that contains 54mg EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and 250mg DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) Essential Fatty Acids.

Formula Milk is enriched with DHA for infants aged up to 12 months in order to optimise the development of the Eyes (at a dose of 100mg of DHA per day). Minami Nutrition Mor EPA Mini is a hexane-free omega 3 fatty acid supplement made from deep-sea Fish Oil concentrate, sourced from fish reeled in from sustainable Pacific oceans. These oils are not processed by using chemical solvents, like hexane, which can be hazardous to the environment. And by using smaller fish, such as anchovy & mackerel, the level of possible contaminants is significantly lowered too!

What is DHA?

DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) is an omega 3 fatty acid and a primary structural component of the brain, Skin, retina & cerebral cortex. Most DHA is found in almost exclusively in animal foods, such as seafood, pasture-raised meat and some dairy products.

What is EPA?

Like DHA, Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is also a long chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA), and a precursor to DHA. EPA has numerous antiatherosclerotic effects including vasodilation, antiplatelet aggregation, and anti-inflammation.

What are the benefits of EPA and DHA for children?

In the foetus stage and from birth onwards, the omega 3 fatty acid DHA forms an important building block in the development of the brains. For this reason, pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to take an extra 200mg of DHA daily on top of their personal daily omega 3 dose of 250mg of EPA and DHA.

Our bodies are not designed to produce sufficient omega 3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) ourselves, so we have to get this omega 3 from healthy foods such as oily fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring), shellfish, crustaceans, and seaweeds. However, these quantities are unrealistic for many people, particularly children.
