What is quinoa?

Quinoa, which is pronounced KEEN-wah, is a herbaceous annual plant grown for its edible seeds.

What is quinoa made out of?

It is a pseudograin made from a flowering plant in the amaranth family. 

How healthy is quinoa?

Quinoa is consumed in a similar way to cereal grains and offers a rich source of Vitamins, B Minerals, protein and dietary fibre.

Directions of Use

Take one part quinoa grain, rinse well and cook with two parts water. Bring to the boil and simmer for approximately 10 minutes with the lid on. Remove from heat and leave covered until all liquid is absorbed.
