How to clean the UltuCup Mini Menstrual Cup:
Before insertion, thoroughly wash your hands and the UltuCup Mini Menstrual Cup for 60-90 seconds with warm water using a mild, unscented soap. Clean the UltuCup Mini Menstrual Cup a minimum of 2-3 times daily with mild, unscented soap and warm water. The tiny holes located below the rim must always be kept clean. To do this gently stretch each hole under warm running water to remove any debris. You may boil the cup after each cycle for 5-10 minutes in an open pot with plenty of water. Do not leave the boiling pot unattended. When cleaning your cup do not use harsh chemicals, scented soap, antibacterial soap, dish soap, hand sanitiser, rubbing alcohol, bleach, hydrogen peroxide, pre-moistened wipes, vinegar, oil-based soap, castile/peppermint soap, or tea tree oil as these may damage the silicone and cause irritation.
How to remove the UltuCup Mini Menstrual Cup:
The UltuCup Mini Menstrual Cup must be emptied and washed at least once every 12 hours. Some people may empty the UltuCup Mini Menstrual Cup more frequently during the day according to their flow. Before removal, thoroughly wash your hands as recommended. In a comfortable position, either standing, sitting on the toilet, or squatting with your buttocks resting on your heels, bear down in a series of gentle downward pushes with your abdominal/pelvic floor muscles (as if you have a bowel movement). Insert your thumb and index finger until you can reach the stem. Gently pull the stem horizontally until you can firmly pinch the base of the cup. Squeeze the cup gently to release the seal. As you remove it, angle it sideways while moving it from side to side holding it carefully to avoid spills. Empty the contents of the cup into the toilet. Wash the UltuCup Mini Menstrual Cup thoroughly as directed and re-insert.
