What is Peppermint oil?

What is Peppermint oil good for?

Peppermint oil also is used for a variety of health conditions and can be taken orally in dietary Supplements or topically as a Skin cream or ointment. Some evidence suggests that peppermint oil may help relieve symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and indigestion. An Italian study during 2007 concluded that 75% of tested patients who took peppermint oil capsules for four weeks had a major reduction in IBS symptoms. A second study in 2010 (conducted in Iran) found similar results. Overall this research has shown that peppermint acts through a specific anti-pain channels, to reduce pain sensing fibres.
