What is DHA?
DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) is an omega 3 fatty acid and a primary structural component of the brain, Skin, retina and cerebral cortex. Most DHA is found in almost exclusively in animal foods, such as seafood, pasture-raised meat and some dairy products.
What is EPA?
Like DHA, Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is also a long chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA), and a precursor to DHA. EPA has numerous antiatherosclerotic effects including vasodilation, antiplatelet aggregation, and anti-inflammation.
What are the benefits of EPA and DHA?
The Body can only make very small amounts of DHA from other fatty acids, so it is essential to consume it, along with EPA, directly from foods or from a supplement like Minami Nutrition PluShinzO-3 Anti Aging Capsules. Together, EPA and DHA contribute the normal function of the heart with a daily intake of at least 250mg EPA & DHA (1 softgel/day). On its own, DHA supports brain & eye health, men’s reproductive systems, and circulation, while EPA is thought to benefit those with Depression, and women during the Menopause.
