What is Madras curry?

Madras curry or Madras sauce is a fairly hot curry sauce, and Holy Cow Madras Chettinad Curry Sauce is no different with a chilli rating of 3. A rose by any other name, Madras may now be called Chennai, but South Indian food is still a feast to behold and this sauce features delicious Coconut, curry leaves and fenugreek so you can enjoy this local Madras favourite at home. It is often cooked with meat, or for vegetarians, with vegetables and lentils. Yoghurt is often used to minimise it's heat.

What is Holy Cow Madras Chettinad Curry Sauce?

Although madras curry was created in British curry houses, Holy Cow Madras Chettinad Curry Sauce takes it back to its Chettinad roots in South India, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds at meal times.

Does Holy Cow Madras Chettinad Curry Sauce contain sugar?

No! Holy Cow Madras Chettinad Curry Sauce has been slow cooked and ingredients like caramelised onions give it a natural, subtle sweet taste. There is no need for sugar in this sauce.

Is Holy Cow Madras Chettinad Curry Sauce gluten free?

Yes! As well as being a versatile curry sauce, Holy Cow Madras Chettinad Curry Sauce is based on a home-cooked Indian recipe, which is made from all-natural ingredients. It is therefore suitable for vegans, vegetarians, coeliacs and those on a Gluten Free diet!
