    What causes ulcers in mouth?

A mouth ulcer (Aphthous Ulcer) is a painful sore that appears in the mouth, usually on the inside of the cheeks or lips. In most cases, ulcers are harmless and heal on their own, however they can be very painful - making eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth an uncomfortable experience. It is hard to say what causes a mouth ulcer, as some individuals may find that when their Immune System is comprimised they appear, while others may experience an ulcer after consuming acidic foods or drinks.

Are mouth ulcers and cold sores the same thing?

No! Mouth ulcers should not be confused with Cold Sores, which develop around the outside of the mouth.

What can I drink to get rid of mouth ulcers?

It is believed that Drinks & Beverages like Orange juice and milk, which are rich in Calcium or Vitamin C, may help to speed up the healing time of a mouth ulcer. Alternatively, you may wish to consider other forms of natural remedies, such as Aloe Vera juice which acts as an antiseptic to alleviate pain, Honey which has antioxdiant properties that accelerate healing, or Cocount Milk, which when simply rinsed around the mouth is thought to soothe the pain of mouth ulcers.

Is coconut oil good for mouth ulcers?

Yes, it might be! Coconut Oil contains antimicrobial properties that are similar to those found in honey. With this in mind, this compound could potentially act as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory treatment for your mouth ulcer.
