No. All Waken Dental products are 100% vegan approved and certified by the Vegetarian Society. There are no animal derived ingredients and no alcohol in any of their products too.
It was founded in October 2019 by Simon Duffy in the UK, who created the brand with the sole intention to bring fresh thinking to the very traditional world of dental products. By December 2019, not only had Waken manufactured four deliciously effective mouthwash flavours and a stainless-steel mouthwash cup accessory, these products had also become approved as vegan by the Vegetarian Society. A year later, and after many awards too, these products were officially certified carbon neutral, and by September of 2021 Waken had increased their product range to inlcude the likes of Bamboo toothbrushes, waterless toothpaste tablets, and toothpastes.
Health conscious individuals, who care as much for animals and the environment as they do for their own teeth and gums. These products are also ideal for those people looking to step away from commercial dental brands, which often use synthetic fragrances, artificial colours or SLS during the manufacture of their products.
