Where Do Pukka Source The Ingredients?
Pukka Teas dedicated in-house sourcing team traverses the world to find the highest quality organic practitioner-grade herbs. They then establish close, enduring partnerships with organic farmers and cultivators in over 20 different nations.
A considerable portion of the herbs are certified as fair by FairWild, Fairtrade, or Fair For Life standards. Even when they aren't, Pukka consistently adheres to fair trade principles.
The organic herbs undergo a thorough evaluation by a Quality Team before being incorporated into the teas, lattes, and supplements. All products are tested for contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, and pyrrolizidine alkaloids to guarantee their safety. Testing adheres to EU food safety regulations in industry-standard (UKAS) accredited laboratories. A batch of herbs is only approved for use once it passes the accepted test limits.

What Is The Best Way To Brew Pukka Tea?
As a general guideline, the ideal infusion time for a blend varies from 5-10 minutes, depending on the herbs present. When using freshly boiled water, the herbs infuse relatively quickly (within 5-6 minutes), and steeping for an extended period will not enhance the benefits of the herbs in the tea. Additionally, after this duration, the flavour may change; for instance, green teas can become 'bitter' if infused for too long. For Supreme Matcha Green, they recommend using freshly boiled water and infusing for 3-5 minutes.
