Urinary Tract

5 products

The urinary tract consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra and its purpose is to eliminate waste from the body, regulate blood volume and pressure and control levels of electrolytes and blood pH. Urine is formed in the kidneys and passes through the ureter to the bladder where it is stored. During urination the urine is passed from the bladder through the urethra to the outside of the body. The system is prone to infection and inflammation and older men often experience problems associated with an enlarged prostate. Your Doctor will advise if treatment or investigations are required but less serious problems often respond well to natural, herbal remedies.
