National Vegetarian Week 2015

The Vegetarian Society exists to influence, inspire and support people to embrace and maintain a Vegetarian lifestyle. A Vegetarian is defined as someone who lives on a diet of grains, pulses, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits with or without use of dairy products and eggs. A Vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish or by-products of animal slaughter.

This year the Vegetarian Week is all about sharing and enjoying delicious veggie food with your family, friends and colleagues. It’s a great way of socialising whilst enjoying lovely, nutritious food and helping others understand the vegetarian way of life. Show people that veggie food is exciting, full of flavour and that you will also be helping yourself, animals and the environment by changing your diet. The week is sponsored by “Nothing But” who manufacture freeze dried fruit and vegetable snacks which as well as being tasty are less than 80 calories a bag !

Natures Healthbox stocks a range of products that are “vegetarian” friendly and we are always delighted to receive ideas and suggestions from you about new ranges.
