What is Zinc Oxide?
Zinc oxide is a mineral that sits on top of the skin, scattering, reflecting, and absorbing UVA & UVB rays. Although it is the safest and most effective active sunscreen ingredient, the best protection from the sun is to seek shade and cover up with clothes and a hat.
Badger Baby Chamomile & Calendula Sun Cream contains uncoated non-nano zinc oxide, the same kind of zinc oxide used in calamine lotions & nappy rash creams.

Does Badger sunscreen clog pores?
No! Badger Baby Chamomile & Calendula Sun Cream is non-comedogenic and made from all-natural ingredients that should not irritate or clog pores.
Why not use a really high sun protection factor?
Sunscreens with really high SPFs, such as SPF75+ or 100, do not offer significantly greater protection than SPF30 and mislead people into thinking they have more protection than they actually do. Additionally, in order to have broad spectrum protection, the UVA protection should be at least 1/3 of the UVB protection. High SPF sunscreens usually offer far greater UVB than UVA protection, thus offering a false sense of full protection.
