What is the Menopause?
The first use of the term “menopause” is said to have been in 17th Century France. However, it is only relatively recently that there has been general awareness of menopause as a concept. The menopause is a natural process women go through and it is a normal part of life. It can also be a daunting and confusing experience for many women who are unsure if their symptoms are menopausal or even normal. This change in the normal pattern of the menstrual cycle may be accompanied by psychological symptoms such as Mood swings, irritability, lowering of self-confidence as well as hot flushes and night sweats. These, and other menopausal symptoms, may be experienced for a few months or years.
The average age for a woman to reach the menopause is 52 years, although it is known to start as early as 35 or as late as 60 years of age. If you are under 45 years of age, it is less likely (but not impossible) that symptoms you are experiencing are related to the menopause.
What's the difference between A Vogel Menosan & Menopause Support?
A.Vogel Menosan Menopause Support is a herbal food supplement providing nutritional supplementation for all stages of the menopause, while A. Vogel Menoforce Sage Tablets are a licensed herbal medicine for the symptoms of menopausal hot flushes & sweats.
Can I take both of these products together? Yes. Menopause Support can be taken as a general daily supplement & you can add Menoforce Sage if hot flushes & menopausal sweats are especially troublesome.
Can I use A. Vogel Menopause Support with hormonal contraceptives?
No. Soy isoflavones work as phyto-oestrogens and there is a theoretical risk that they may interfere with the way hormonal contraceptives work, making them less reliable.
