How is Naturya Organic Cacao Powder produced?

Once removed from the pods of the flowering cocoa tree, the cocoa beans used in Naturya Organic Cacao Powder are then washed and lightly toasted for approximately 45 minutes. The shells of these Cocoa Nibs are removed and then milled into a liquid, sterilised, and mechanically pressed to remove the cocoa butter content. The results is a sold 'cocoa cake', which is then ground into powder. During this entire production process the cacao never encounters pesticides and are handled with care to make sure the very best quality ingredient is passed on to you.
