What is Sambucus nigra?
Sambucus nigra (also known as Elderberry, European Elder, Black Elder) is a species complex of flowering plants that grows in hedgerows and woodlands around Europe, North Africa and Asia. As part of the Adoxaceae plant family, the Elderberry produces fruits between September & October, and flowers in around July time.
