What is the Sri Lankan Forest Garden Growers Association?
The Forest Garden Growers Association of Sri Lanka is a small family cooperative of 130 farmers who grow tropical fruit and spices. As negative result of conventional agricultural practices, these famers switched to organic and biodynamic farming to replenish their land and their livelihood. Standing up to middlemen and multinational agro-chemical companies in order to get a fair price for their crops, improve the health and productivity of their farms, and the quality and quantity of their harvests.
