Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil is a non-standardised, unrefined and natural oil derived from the seeds of the Evening Primrose plant, Oenothera Biennis. This cold pressed Evening Primrose Oil is very high in Essential Fatty Acids, which can provide the building blocks for cell membranes and a variety of hormone like substances.

What does Fushi Evening Primrose Oil do?

Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil has many beneficial health benefits, which have been known to be beneficial for your hormonal health, Skin, Hair and Bones. It is full of polyunsaturated fats too, which are often used to help to lower the “bad” or LDL Cholesterol, and increasing “good” or hdl cholesterol. Gamma linoleic acid (GLA) is a form of omega 6. The GLA content in evening primrose oil is high and is best known for its role in providing nutritional support for women with PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome).

How is the seed of Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil pressed?

Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil is organic and cold pressed. It is freshly made in small batches only. The oil is sourced from premium Evening Primrose only. The seeds are freshly pressed for maximum freshness and potency, and is packed under nitrogen. When the Evening Primrose oil is pressed it is protected from contact with oxygen and light. Once the bottles are pressed the oil is stored under refrigeration prior to despatch which helps to preserve the freshness and potency of the oil. There is minimum oxygen exposure before bottling which will prevent oxidation.

Can I cook with Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil?

Yes! Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil can be used as an everyday alternative (with the added array of health benefits) to your usual salad dressing, dips, smoothies, and soups. It has a smooth, mellow, creamy, nutty flavour which makes the oil a joy to consume.

Please note: Like all unsaturated oils, Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil should not be used at a high temperature. You can heat flax oil but it is best to heat gently and is ideal for using when baking.

Can I give Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil to my child?

Children with hyperactive disorder have been known to experience benefits with the use of Evening Primrose oil. Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil is very high in essential fatty acids. The metabolism of EFA’s in children with this disorder, behaviour and learning issues is impaired.

Directions of Use

For internal use:

The recommended daily dose for Fushi’s organic Evening Primrose oil for internal use is one quarter tea spoon per day, preferably with food. This recommended dosage is equivalent to two and a half 500mg capsules. You can take up to half a teaspoon if required, this is equivalent to five 500mg capsules. It is important not to exceed the stated dosage.

Cooking with Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil:

Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil is perfect for salad dressing, drizzled on grains, rice, vegetables or salads, blended into dips like hummus, soups, or used in sauces.

For external use on skin:

You can pour a small amount of Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil into the palm of your hand and rub across the body in long massage strokes. You should not go out into direct sunlight after an aromatherapy massage. Please allow 12 hours for the oil to fully absorb before washing the skin.

Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil has also been known to be a good choice for people with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. This oil may help with redness, firmness and inflammation.

Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil for hair:

Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil may be capable of nourishing your scalp, and therefore could treat a variety of hair problems. Essential fatty acids are found to be effective in preventing hair breakage, because applying oil directly into the scalp helps to improve the strength of the hair. You can use this oil by rubbing into damp hair as a hair mask, or you can add it to your shampoo.

Applying Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil hair mask:

First start by wetting your hair in the shower and dry off excess water so the hair is damp. Pour a small amount of Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil into the palm of your hand and massage gently all over the scalp. Next, brush your hair and then wrap your hair in a towel (you will have a better effect if the towel is slightly warmed) and leave in the oil for 15 to 20 minutes. After this you can wash your hair with a light shampoo, and you may not need conditioner as Fushi Organic Evening Primrose Oil will have left your hair much softer and shinier than a conditioner would.
