Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter

As far as Nut Butters go, it's safe to say that peanut butter is number 1 choice around the world. Peanut butter has been a staple Food for many of us since childhood, back when we would have it in our sandwiches during school lunchbreaks or at the weekend, spread generously over toast. Peanut butter's unmistakable creamy texture and rich, hearty flavour comes from the ground, dry-roasted Peanuts, in which it is made from. Often sticky and thick in consistency, it's no wonder why many of us continue to enjoy peanut butter into today, with our own children.

Is eating peanut butter good for you?

Despite its well publicised high calorie content, peanut butter is full of monounsaturated (healthy) fats made from oleic acid, which is also found in Olive oil. It is generally considered to be safe to eat moderate amounts of pure peanut butter but be sure to look out for those brands of peanut butter that may modify its taste or texture, with Salt, sweeteners & emulsifiers.

How much peanut butter can I eat a day?

A good general rule of thumb when consuming any high-fat foods, such as peanut butter, is roughly around one to two tablespoons a day
