Berbers are indigenous people of the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Yumello have helped to change the lives of over 300 Berber women by sourcing Argan oil, which is used in both Yumello Smooth Almond Butter and Yumello Crunchy Peanut Butter 170g, directly from a partner coop Targanine in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This enables Yumello to ensure high quality standards, full traceability, and that their producers are paid a fair price for their goods.

Why Do Yumello Use Argan Oil In The Production Of Their Nut Butters?

Forget everything you know about Peanut Butter. Yumello uses the Atlas Mountains way of making their nut butters, which is traditionally known as ‘Amlou’ and has been done this way by the Berbers for centuries! This process blends roasted Nuts and argan oil together to make a nut butter that is smoother in texture and more intense in flavour. Furthermore, it is packed full of the good stuff too, such as omega 6, Fatty Acids and Vitamin E.
