La Gondola is a range of canned Fish products that have been produced by the traditional 'pre-cooked' method. As one of the oldest canning plants in Portugal, La Gondola was founded in the 1930's by Italian people, and to this day, has an excellent reputation in all the markets for which it works with.
La Gondola is revered for its extraordinary quality of products, in which the fish is considered on its conditions of maximum quality and flavour. For example, their sardines are treated strictly by 'campaign', meaning the La Gondola factory only begins work on the sardine when it reaches a certain fat degree, and subsequently becomes softer and full of flavour. Production only takes place between the months of June and December, because of the well-known quality & characteristics of the fish in this period, meaning you only get the very best fresh fish!
