What is Tarka Dhal made of?
Tarka is a process of adding spices to an already cooked dish. The tarka enhances the spiciness and turns the dahl into a magical dish bursting with flavour. After prepping the Dahl in step 1 of the Bang Curry Kit, it's the Tarka that brings the lentils to life.

Do you eat dhal with rice?
You can do! Dhal is a nutritious, humble meal which can be served with Rice, or as one of several dishes served as part of a much bigger meal.
Can I eat dal everyday?
Like with all foods, it's best to have it in moderation. A healthy, balanced diet, should include at least five portions of a variety of fruit and vegetables every day, however considering that Dhal contains healthy Lentils, it certainly wouldn't hurt do any damage to you when consuming it more than once a week.
Soak Bang's lentil pack in a large saucepan with 500ml of warm water. After about 10 minutes, put the pan on a medium heat and bring to the boil, then simmer for 15 minutes or until it's a thick consistency.
Optional extra: during simmering, add 2 chopped tomatoes.
In a frying pan, fry the sliced onion and garlic with a small amount of cooking Oil. Sizzle in the pan until crispy.
In a separate bowl, combine Bang''s spices with up to 50ml of water and blend into a smooth, thick paste. Pour the spice paste into the frying pan along with the onion and garlic mixture. Continue to fry on a low heat for about 30 seconds. Then add to the lentil mixture and stir.
Optional extra: garnish with chopped fresh Corinader.
