    Thyme is a fragrant evergreen herb and a member of the Mint family Lamiaceae. It is mostly indigenous to the Mediterranean regions of the world and a very popular ingredient in both French & Italian cuisine. 

    What does thyme taste like?

     

    As a low-growing, woody perennial, thyme has a pleasant, summery pungent smell and flavour.

    Is thyme and rosemary the same?

     

    No but they do both belong to the mint family. The difference between thyme and rosemary is that rosemary has a stronger and more pungent flavour than thyme.

    Can you eat thyme?

     

    While thyme has culinary, medicinal, and ornamental uses, it is usually used for culinary purposes. Fresh thyme is often sprinkled on top of a finished dish, while a whole sprig of thyme can be found in soup or stews

    What is thyme good for?

     

    Medicinally, the flowers, leaves, and oil of thyme have a long history of use for Inflammation, Digestion & Gut Health, Hair loss and bronchitis.
